A new 75,000 square-foot, 3-story office building was constructed in Livonia, Michigan in 2017. Our firm was responsible for complete HVAC, plumbing, power, emergency generator, lighting, controls, and fire alarm system design, as well as building energy modeling services. This modern office building was provided with a high-end design to accommodate the specific needs of the client. A 3-story atrium centers the building, which branches out into open office areas. The office areas are primarily open-ceiling with suspended linear LED lighting. Suspended ceiling clouds with specialized lighting are located throughout, to provide interest in the space. The mechanical and electrical systems were designed to minimize long-term energy usage costs.
