DISC Surgery Center – Carlsbad, CA
We provided full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design services for the 14,000 sq ft (approx.) two-story fit-out of a new shell tenant space into a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center. The facility features three operating suites outfitted with image-guided navigation, robotic-assisted platforms and advanced intraoperative monitoring systems; we engineered a high-performance infrastructure to support those loads while maintaining flexibility for future growth. The building incorporates streamlined distribution of HVAC, medical-gas, power and communications systems into a clean, refined interior shell that reflects the brand’s premium positioning. Coordinated electrical bus layouts, efficiency-driven lighting and control schemes, and optimised routing of mechanical/plumbing services deliver a reliable, service-friendly solution that helps set the new standard for outpatient surgical care in North County San Diego.
DISC Surgery Center – Tarzana, CA
For this 14,000 sq ft (approx.) two-story renovation of an existing tenant space into a high-acuity surgery center (within a two-story ~19,936 sq ft medical building), we designed the MEP systems to support three operating suites, five private pre-op rooms, six PACU bays and a full-service spine & orthopedics clinic above. Our scope included development of purpose-built infrastructure: high-capacity HVAC to handle surgical-suite loads, robust lighting/controls system for critical areas, precision-coordinated electrical, plumbing and medical-gas networks and a layout designed for clarity of flow, low operational cost, and future adaptability. The result is an outpatient facility whose infrastructure delivers hospital-grade performance in a sleek, efficient footprint—positioning the client for high case-volumes, cost-effective operations and premium patient experience in the San Fernando Valley.
